Cathal O’Kane is a specialist musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist with over 10 years postgraduate experience.
Education
Cathal graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2010 with an honours degree in physiotherapy. He continued his studies achieving a postgraduate diploma in Advancing Practice in musculoskeletal health.
Qualifications
Post-graduation he spent over 4 years gaining experience in musculoskeletal out patients, trauma and orthopaedics and paediatrics in the Belfast Trust, progressing to become a specialist musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapist. He has continued to practice in musculoskeletal health with extensive experience in private practice and the NHS across the UK and Ireland.
Biography
Cathal has a keen interest in sports medicine and is the current physiotherapist for Queens University’s NIFL Championship 1 team and the UUJ Sigerson Cup squad. Previously he has worked with the Scottish FA and Celtic FC, travelling to world and European championships with the Cerebral Palsy A squad and developing insight into the rehabilitation of elite athletes.
